This bulletin is for information only.
Situation: On vehicles fitted with the Carbon Ceramic Brake system, the yellow paint of the front brake calipers may be subject to discoloration at extremely high temperatures caused through closed road usage.
Action: Should a customer express concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
NOTE: Information only; discoloration of the brake caliper will not affect the performance of the brake system. F-TYPE vehicles fitted with Carbon Ceramic Brakes are factory-filled with Castrol SRF React Racing brake fluid and should be topped up as necessary using this fluid only. Refer to the Owner’s Handbook for further details.
- The yellow paint used on F-TYPE Carbon Ceramic Brakes front brake calipers may be subject to discoloration at extremely high temperatures. These temperatures will not be seen in normal road use unless there is a genuine fault with the caliper (such as ‘seizing’). If there is a fault with a caliper, it is likely that only the lefthand or right-hand caliper will be discolored. In this case, you should submit a separate warranty claim.

Land Rover does not accept any warranty claims through closed road, track, and/or motorsport use.
Pantone #115 is the color reference as to what is acceptable for the brake caliper paint finish. Anything darker than Pantone #115 means extremely high temperatures have been experienced, which are likely a result of a result of closed road, track, and/or motorsport use.
